Youth Complex Mental Health – Have Your Say
We are currently seeking community feedback on Youth Complex Mental Health services across the region.
We have received funding from the Commonwealth Government to commission services for Youth Complex Mental Health services.
Earlier in the year we conducted an extensive Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Needs Assessment and this identified as a priority young people (12-25yrs) with, or at risk of developing severe mental illness.
Our aim is to increase the capacity within our region, to facilitate easier access and improve pathways to the “right” care to suit a young person’s needs.”
Through service design, planning and commissioning activities we are seeking to promote more joined up services that are more person centered and holistic and respond to priority areas of need.
We are also very keen to support region specific, cross-sectoral and integrated approaches to youth mental health services that link in with broader health services and integrate services and referral pathways. We also want to target services for Indigenous Australians, LGBTIQ population, and other vulnerable groups.
Members of the community can provide feedback via our online community engagement platform, Peoplebank.
